K-PACS offers a Free to download DiCOM Server and a DiCOM viewer. The author notes that this can not be used for diagnostic purposes, however it’s a nice free tool to use.

Horos is an open source DICOM viewer for Mac. It is actually the free version of an expensive DICOM viewer called Osirix MD, which is often considered to be the best DICOM viewer for Mac. It only runs on Mac OS, version 10.8 or higher. While the Portal has some exam images, the PACS Viewer offers diagnostic quality images. The TRA PACS Viewer requires a one-time installation. The PACS Viewer can be launched from the patient study within the TRA Provider Portal. Patient level table and thumbnail previews in browser dialog, modifyable annotations CD/DVD creation with internal library. Is a general viewing application only.
